Which network covers my address?

Energex runs the electricity network in South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Logan, Ipswich, Redlands and Moreton Bay. Its area runs from the NSW border north to Gympie and west to the base of the Great Dividing Range. Ergon Energy Network runs the network across regional Queensland. If you're unsure, check both Outage Finders.

Essential Energy's network extends into Queensland near Goondiwindi. Hazards QLD shows Energex and Ergon outages, so for that area use Essential Energy's outages page or call 13 20 80.

What Hazards QLD shows for each outage

Turn on the Power outages layer to see current outage areas from both networks. Open an outage to see the network, whether it is planned or unplanned, the suburbs affected, the number of customers affected and the reason given. Unplanned outages show the estimated restoration time; planned work shows its start and finish times, wherever the network publishes them. Save a place as a watch zone and its summary lists any current outage that touches it.

Restoration times are the network's estimates and can change. If your power is off and no outage is listed, report it to your network.

Outages and official warnings

Outage records come from the electricity network operators. Storm, flood and bushfire warnings come from the authority that issues them, and carry the directions to follow. Hazards QLD sends push alerts for official warnings; outages appear on the map and in each watch zone's summary.
